The data, which covers over 2,700 retail centres, shows a mixed bag of results with some regions experiencing slight declines in footfall week on week, while others have seen significant year-on-year growth.

Regional Analysis

In Scotland, the average daily footfall slightly decreased week-on-week, yet showed a modest year-on-year increase. Dwell time in Scotland increased by 13.6% compared to the same week last year.

The North West region experienced a 12.2% increase in footfall year-on-year despite a week-on-week decline.

The South West region stood out with a 15.1% increase in footfall year-on-year. Dwell time also increased slightly year-on-year, and the region saw a significant increase in weekday visitation share.

London showed the most significant year-on-year growth in footfall at 28.9%, although it experienced a week-on-week decline. Dwell time in London also increased significantly by 19.7% year-on-year, indicating more extended visits.
