Know who visits your place, where they come from, how long they stay and what changed this week. For BIDs, councils, landlords and destinations.

We handle your details in line with UK GDPR.
Visitor insights from Huq show who comes to your place and how they behave, for any UK town centre, BID area, venue or shopping centre. See weekly footfall, residents vs visitors, catchment by postcode, dwell time, dayparts and visitor demographics. BIDs and councils use it to report to levy payers and funders; landlords and venues use it to plan events, opening hours and marketing around real visitor patterns.

The overview covers the full Huq platform. For visitor insights, watch two things: how an area is drawn on the Explore map, and how Projects groups locations for reporting. A BID could set up its town centre and key streets as one project, then share the monthly PDF location report with its board and levy payers.

Visitor insights are evidence about the people who come to a place: how many, who they are, where they travel from, when they arrive and how long they stay. In the UK the term is used by BIDs, councils, destination bodies and venues. It's also the name of a separate UK mobility data company, so it's worth being clear about what you get here.
Huq provides visitor insights for any UK location as part of its platform: weekly footfall, residents vs visitors, catchment and travel time, dwell, dayparts, visit frequency and demographics (age, gender, purchasing power), plus geo-spend by volume and category, via Experian.
The proof is local. Ripon BID saw footfall up 164% year on year, and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London saw footfall up 28% over the 2024 MLB weekend. Accuracy is published by country, with an 18.7% MAPE in Great Britain against landlord-reported footfall.

Three views UK place managers use to understand and report on visitors.

01
Track weekly footfall against regional and national benchmarks and similar towns, so a council or BID can see whether a regeneration scheme is working.

02
Use dayparts and dwell to see how the evening and weekend economy is performing and when to schedule events.

03
Profile visitors by age, gender and purchasing power, and map their home postcodes to target marketing.

Visitor insights describe the people who come to a place: how many, who they are, where they travel from, when they arrive and how long they stay. Huq provides them for any UK town centre, venue or scheme, so place managers can plan and report on evidence.
No. Visitor Insights is a separate UK company. Huq Industries, founded in London in 2014, offers visitor insights as part of its location data platform, alongside footfall, catchment, behaviour and demographics for any location across its 35 markets.
Huq measures footfall and visitor behaviour for any UK address without counters, sensors or cameras, so you can cover a whole town centre rather than only the spots where counters sit. Ripon BID, one of Huq's UK cases, recorded footfall up 164% year on year.
Huq's data refreshes weekly. You can view trends by week, month or year, use monthly PDF location reports for boards and funders, export CSV or Excel files, or take data feeds as Parquet and CSV files into Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
Any address in the UK: town and city centres, high streets, BID areas, shopping centres, retail parks, venues, parks and attractions. You can draw your own boundary on the Explore map or use layers such as retail centres and postcodes.
Yes. Tell us which area, BID or venue you manage and Huq will prepare a free analysis of your locations, covering footfall, residents vs visitors and dwell time. It's a simple way to see what you could report before you commit.
