Huq is location analytics software for teams that need to measure and compare UK sites, not just map them. Pick any address, draw any area or load a whole store list, then analyse footfall trends, catchment, dwell time and cross-visitation side by side. Results export to CSV or Excel, go out as monthly PDF reports, or land in your data warehouse as weekly feeds.

Use this overview to judge the analysis workflow, not just the map. Look at how a single site is measured, how sites are compared with each other and with benchmarks, and how results leave the platform. Those three steps decide whether location analytics software saves your analysts time or adds to their workload.

Location analytics is the analysis of data tied to a place: counting, comparing and trending what happens at a site or across a set of sites. Location intelligence is the wider decision-making discipline. Location analytics is the measurement work underneath it. The question is less "where should we go?" and more "how is this place performing, and why?"
Search the term in the UK and you'll find very different tools. Web analytics reports show where website visitors are. Indoor Wi-Fi systems count people inside one building. GIS packages run spatial models. Huq is none of those. It analyses observed footfall and visitor behaviour at physical locations, from a single high street unit to a national estate.
Typical outputs are store rankings, before-and-after comparisons, catchment changes and visiting vs passing traffic, refreshed weekly.
01
Footfall totals, average daily footfall, trends and visiting vs passing traffic for any address or drawn area.
02
Set each location against regional and national benchmarks, or against competitors' stores nearby.
03
Dwell time, visit frequency, dayparts and cross-visitation between up to 10 location pairs.
04
CSV or Excel exports, monthly PDF reports, and weekly Parquet or CSV feeds into S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
Three steps from a question about a site to a number you can share.

01
Pick a store, shopping centre or retail park and see weekly footfall, the trend and period-on-period change. Spot whether a dip is local or seen across the region.

02
Load your estate into a Project. Rank sites, track status and flag the ones moving against their regional benchmark.

03
Send monthly PDF reports to stakeholders, export CSV or Excel for your own models, or take weekly data feeds into your warehouse.
Huq covers any address in the UK: high streets, shopping centres, retail parks, competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. No counters, sensors or cameras needed.
Huq manually validates more than 1,000 locations in each of its 35 markets twice a year, and data refreshes weekly.
Step 1
Add up to five addresses in the form. Your own stores, candidate sites or competitors.
Step 2
Our team maps each location from observed visitor data.
Step 3
A short call to take you through what the data shows and what it means for you.
huq's platform gave us valuable data to support a key decision on potential new sites.

Show centre performance, support leasing and get the tenant mix right, for landlords, asset managers and brokers.
03
Check how retail brands and assets actually perform before you buy, and monitor them after.
Location analytics is the analysis of data linked to physical places: measuring, comparing and trending what happens at a site. Huq applies it to observed footfall and visitor behaviour, so you can rank stores, compare centres and track change at any UK address.
Location intelligence is the broader practice of deciding where to open, lease or invest. Location analytics is the measurement underneath: the footfall trends, comparisons and benchmarks that feed those decisions. Huq covers both, but this page is about the analysis workflow and how results reach your team.
Huq publishes its accuracy by country as a median error against landlord-reported footfall. In Great Britain the figure is 18.7%. Lower is better, and below 30% is considered healthy. Full per-country sample sizes are in Huq's downloadable validation report.
Every week. Footfall is available by week, month and year, with period-on-period change, so you can follow a trend or measure the effect of a refit, an event or a new competitor once a few weeks of data have built up.
Any address in the UK, including high streets, town centres, shopping centres, retail parks, competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. Nothing is installed on site. You can analyse one location or load a whole estate into Projects.
Yes. Use the form on this page to tell us which sites you want to understand. Huq's team runs a free analysis of those locations, typically footfall trends, catchment and behaviour, and walks you through the results with no obligation.
