Footfall, catchment and visitor behaviour for every store, side by side and set against regional and national benchmarks.

Up to 5 locations. No cost, no commitment.
We handle your details in line with UK GDPR.
Retail location analytics shows how every store in your portfolio performs from the street outwards: how many people visit, where they come from, how long they stay, and how each site compares with its high street, shopping centre or retail park. Huq measures any UK address weekly, with no counters or cameras, so you can compare stores with each other and with competitors, then decide where to invest, fix or exit.

Treat the overview as a guide to how a portfolio review is set up. Note the Explore map, where stores and nearby competitors are added; Projects, which hold dozens or hundreds of locations with status tracking; and the monthly location reports that set each store against regional and national benchmarks. The video covers the platform generally, not your estate.

Retail location analytics is the use of location data to understand how a chain's stores perform as places. Instead of looking only at sales, it looks at footfall, catchment, visit frequency, dwell time and the strength of the location around each store, so you can compare sites fairly across the whole portfolio.
In the UK it is mostly used by retail chains reviewing their estate: which stores sit in growing or declining high streets, which shopping centres and retail parks are pulling more visitors, and where a store underperforms its location. Location based analytics in retail also feeds lease renewals, refits and closure decisions.
Huq gives you the same measures for every UK address, including competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. Data refreshes weekly. Measured against landlord-reported footfall, Huq's MAPE in Great Britain is 18.7%.

Location analytics in retail uses data about places and the people visiting them to explain store performance. Typical measures are footfall, catchment, visit frequency, dwell time and how a store compares with its retail centre and competitors. Retail chains use it to review their estate, plan openings and closures, and support lease negotiations.
Across a portfolio, data analytics helps you rank stores fairly. Footfall and catchment show whether a store's location is strong, while your own sales show how well the store converts it. Putting the two together tells you whether to invest in a site, fix operations, renegotiate the lease or exit.
Huq is trusted by 300+ organisations, including retailers, asset owners, councils and investors. JD Sports, a UK retailer, got 25% more precise catchment analysis and 18% lower new-store location risk. PizzaExpress set Huq's monthly footfall against its own sales across 370+ UK stores to tell location problems from operational ones.
Huq data refreshes weekly. You can view footfall by week, month and year, with period-on-period change and average daily footfall. Monthly PDF location reports summarise each store's KPIs and trends against regional and national benchmarks.
