Retail store analytics usually means POS and inventory reports. Huq adds the part those systems can't see: what happens outside your store. For any store in Australia and New Zealand you get foot traffic, where visitors come from, how long they stay and how you compare with competitor stores nearby. Put it next to your sales data and you can tell whether a weak store has too few visitors or converts them poorly.

Retail store analytics with Huq, in practice

Huq platform overview video: a visitor heat map

Watch the overview for how Huq would sit next to your POS reporting. Projects hold your store list with weekly status, and the location reports show each store's foot traffic, dwell and catchment against regional and national benchmarks. The video is a general platform tour, and your sales figures stay in your own systems.

  • Track foot traffic at every store in a Project, week by week.
  • See dwell and dayparts to compare with trading hours and staffing.
  • Benchmark each store against competitor stores in the same shopping centre or strip.

What is retail store analytics?

Most retail store analytics tools work from inside the business: POS transactions, inventory, basket size and staff rosters. They tell you what sold, but not how many people came, how many walked past, or how your store compares with the competitor next door.

Huq measures store performance from outside the store. For any address in Australia and New Zealand you see visits, visiting vs passing traffic, catchment, dwell, dayparts and cross-visitation with nearby stores. It complements your sales and POS data rather than replacing it, and covers competitors you have no data for.

Huq doesn't measure your sales. Put its visit data next to your own sales figures and you can tell whether a weak store has a footfall problem or a conversion problem. Data refreshes weekly, with a 19.5% MAPE across published markets.
