SITE SELECTION

Choose the site the data supports

Huq measures real visits across 22 markets, so every location on your shortlist is scored on evidence rather than a broker's floorplan and a gut feel.

01

Shortlist scored in an afternoon

No consultancy brief, no six-week wait. Enter each address and get footfall, catchment and visitor profile on the spot.

02

Fewer bad leases signed

A lease is a decade of rent committed on a few weeks of evidence. Test the assumption before heads of terms, not after the first quarter of trading.

03

A case the board can read

Put every candidate site in one table on the same measure, so the committee compares like with like instead of five differently argued decks.

HOW IT WORKS

From shortlist to decision in five steps

Put every candidate site in one table on the same measure, so the committee compares like with like instead of five differently argued decks.

01

Add your candidate sites

Enter every address on the shortlist, plus the sites you already run and the competitors nearby. All 22 markets are open from the start.

02

Measure the real footfall

Visit counts for each location, day by day, drawn from a large anonymised mobility panel rather than a manual count or a broker estimate.

03

Size the catchment

See where visitors travel from, how far they come and how big the genuine catchment is, not the radius someone drew on a map.

04

Check the competitive overlap

Find out which competitors share your shoppers and whether a new site would cannibalise one you already trade from.

05

Take the case to committee

Export the comparison and hand the board one like-for-like table, with years of history behind every number.

Site selection questions, answered

What expansion and property teams ask before committing to a location.

What is footfall data?
Footfall data measures how many people visit a physical location over time. Huq builds it from anonymous, privacy first mobile location signals, so you can see real visit counts for any store, street or site without installing anything.
How accurate is it?
Huq data is drawn from a large mobility panel and validated against independent counts. Every location is measured the same way, which makes it reliable for comparing sites. You can check data for your own locations before you commit.
Which places can I look up?
Any address in the 22 markets Huq covers, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the USA. That means your stores, competitor stores, retail parks and whole high streets.
How far back does the data go?
Huq holds years of history for each location, so you can compare today with past seasons, pre and post opening, or year on year.
Do I need to install anything?
No. There is no hardware, no sensors and no cameras. Insights are generated from existing data as soon as you enter an address.
