Mobility data shows how people move between places: where they go, where they come from and how they arrive. Huq turns that movement into weekly visits, visitor origin, dwell time, cross-visitation, footfall density and transportation mode for any US address, with no sensors or hardware. It covers people visiting places, not vehicle telematics. Request a free analysis for a location you know and check the numbers against your own.

The overview video shows the Huq platform from map to report. Watch the Explore map's heat maps of visiting and passing traffic, then how visitor origin, density and cross-visitation appear for a chosen area. It ends with exports and data feeds, which is how most teams move movement data into their own tools.

Mobility data is aggregated information about how groups of people move around the physical world: how many people visit a place, where they travel from, how long they stay and where they go next. You will also see it called foot traffic or footfall data.
The term covers different things. Some vendors use it for driving and vehicle telematics. Transport planners use it for trip flows between zones. Huq's data is about people visiting places: stores, shopping centers, main streets and any other address.
For location decisions, it answers practical questions. Is a site busy enough for a new store? Which neighborhoods feed a trade area, and how do people get there? Is a competitor gaining visits while you lose them? Huq adds footfall density and transportation mode to visit counts, updates weekly, and manually validates more than 1,000 locations in each of its 35 markets twice a year.
01
Weekly visit counts for your location, so you can see whether traffic is rising, falling or holding steady.
02
Where visitors travel from and how they arrive, so you can see which neighborhoods feed the site.
03
How long people stay and how often they come back, a sign of how much a place matters to visitors.
04
Which other places your visitors also go to, including competitors, for up to 10 location pairs at once.

01
The trend line shows weekly visits to your site. Look for steady growth, seasonal dips or a sudden change after a competitor opens nearby.
02
The origin map shades areas by their share of visitors. It shows how far people travel and which neighborhoods matter most to the site.
03
The cross-visitation matrix shows the share of visitors two places have in common, so you can see who competes with you for the same people.
Huq covers any address in the United States: shopping centers, main streets, downtowns, strip malls, competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. No counters, sensors or cameras needed.

Mobility data is aggregated information about how people move between places. Huq turns it into weekly visit counts, visitor origin, dwell time, cross-visitation, footfall density and transportation mode for stores, shopping centers and any other address. It describes groups of people visiting places, not individuals and not vehicle telematics.
Teams use it to choose sites, size trade areas, benchmark stores against competitors, track main streets and shopping centers, and check a portfolio before investing. Start with a question about one place, such as whether a site is busy enough, then compare weekly visits, visitor origin and dwell time with nearby locations.
It depends on what you measure. Some mobility datasets cover vehicle trips or transport flows between zones. For visits to stores, centers and main streets, look for weekly place-level data with published validation. In Huq's own validation study, its visit data tracked Walmart's quarterly US net sales with 0.85 correlation and 3.8% error. Test any provider on a site you know.
Weekly. Each week's visits are added to the Huq platform, so you can see trends build without waiting for a quarterly report. Data feeds arrive as CSV or Parquet files in Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
Yes. Huq measures visits to stores, shopping centers, main streets and other addresses across the US, and covers 35 markets in total. No sensors or hardware are needed, so you can analyze your own sites and competitors' sites in the same way. More than 1,000 locations are manually validated in each market twice a year.
Enter a US address in the form. We'll run an analysis for that location, covering weekly visits, visitor origin, dwell time and cross-visitation, and send it to you. Pick a site where you know the numbers so you can check our figures.
