Huq is location analytics software for the places outside your four walls: stores, shopping centers, main streets and competitor sites anywhere in the US. Draw an area on the Explore map and see how many people visit each week, where they come from, how long they stay and which other places they visit. Export to CSV or Excel, or take Parquet and CSV feeds into your own tools. Start with a free report on one site.

The overview video takes you through the Huq platform. Look at how an area is drawn on the Explore map, how foot traffic, catchment and cross-visitation are calculated for it, and how results leave the platform as exports, monthly PDF reports or data feeds. That last step is where Huq's measures join the BI or GIS tools you already use.

It adds a geographic layer to business data so you can see patterns by place. The term covers three different things. Indoor analytics uses Wi-Fi and sensors to track movement inside a building. BI mapping plots your own sales or customer data on a map. External location analytics measures how people visit places, including ones you don't own.
That third type is the one used for site decisions. It answers questions like: is this site busy enough to support a new store, how far does this center draw, and did a competitor's opening take visits from us?
Huq works in that third group. It doesn't track movement inside buildings or map your internal data. It measures visits to any US address weekly, with residents versus visitors, catchment and drive time, dwell, cross-visitation, and POI and brand layers for context. Analytics describes what is happening at a place. Location intelligence is what you do with it: the site, lease or investment decision.

Weekly visits to the address with year-over-year comparison, so you can see the direction of travel.
02
A map of where visitors come from by ZIP code, showing the area the site really serves.
03
How long visitors stay and how often they return, compared with similar places nearby.
04
The share of visitors who also go to other sites you name, showing overlap between locations.
These views come from Huq's sample report. Yours uses the address you send us.
01
A line chart of weekly visits with last year overlaid, so you can see growth, decline and seasonality at a glance.
02
ZIP codes shaded by share of visitors. It shows where demand comes from and how far the site pulls people in.
03
A matrix of shared and unique visitors across up to 10 location pairs. High overlap suggests two sites compete for the same people.
Huq covers any address in the United States: shopping centers, main streets, downtowns, strip malls, competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. No counters, sensors or cameras needed.
Huq manually validates more than 1,000 locations in each of its 35 markets twice a year, and data refreshes weekly.

Location analytics is the analysis of data tied to places. For example, a retailer weighing two sites compares weekly visits, catchment and dwell time at both, then checks how much each overlaps with its existing stores. Huq runs that comparison for any US address without visiting either site.
Analytics measures and describes what happens at places: visits, catchment, dwell. Location intelligence applies those measures to a decision, such as where to open, which lease to renew or which asset to buy. Huq provides the measurements and the tools to turn them into those decisions.
Huq data updates weekly. Each week adds a new data point to the site's history, so you can see trends build, compare year over year and spot changes after a store opening, closure or refit without waiting for a quarterly report.
Yes. Huq measures visits to stores, shopping centers, main streets and other addresses across the US, and in 35 markets in total. No sensors or cameras are needed, so you can analyze any address, including a competitor's site, the same way you analyze your own. More than 1,000 locations are manually validated in each market twice a year.
Send us one US address, yours or a competitor's. We'll prepare a free report showing weekly foot traffic, where visitors come from and how long they stay, then walk you through it. There's no commitment and no hardware to install.
No. Huq doesn't track movement inside buildings and isn't a BI mapping tool for internal data. It measures visits to places from the outside. To combine the two, take Huq's data feeds, Parquet or CSV files delivered into your Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage bucket, and load them next to your own data.
