Commercial property performance data

United Kingdom
Databases tell you who owns a building and what it let for. Huq shows how UK retail property is actually visited, week by week.

Up to 5 locations. No cost, no commitment.
We handle your details in line with UK GDPR.
Huq's commercial property data shows how UK retail property performs once it's open. It doesn't hold ownership, rents or sales comparables; it adds visit evidence. For any shopping centre, retail park, high street parade or single unit, see footfall, catchment by postcode, dwell time and tenant cross-visitation, refreshed weekly. Landlords, asset managers, agents and investors use it alongside their property database to back valuations, lettings and acquisitions.

The overview covers the whole Huq platform, not a property workflow. For commercial property, watch three things: how an area is drawn on the Explore map, the shopping centre and retail centre layers, and the split between visiting and passing traffic. Those are the steps you'd repeat for a scheme you hold, one you're underwriting or a rival retail park.

In the UK, commercial property data usually means the databases surveyors and agents use every day: ownership, lettings and sales comparables, availability, rateable values and planning history. Those sources answer what a building is, who owns it and what it let or sold for.
Huq doesn't replace them. It holds no rents, comps or title records. Huq adds the performance layer for retail property: how many people visit a centre, retail park or high street, where they come from, who they are, how long they stay and which tenants they share.
That matters most when price evidence is thin or disputed. A landlord can show a scheme's footfall against its town centre; a buyer can check whether a retail park's catchment supports the yield. Huq publishes an 18.7% MAPE in Great Britain against landlord-reported footfall.
01
Weekly totals, average daily footfall and year-on-year change for a single unit, a parade or a whole scheme.
02
Where visitors live by postcode, with drive-time and travel-time areas to test the trade area behind a valuation.
03
Separate people who stop from people who pass, useful when comparing frontages or making the case for a pitch.
04
Shared audience between up to 10 location pairs, showing which tenants and nearby schemes draw the same shoppers.
Three views UK asset and leasing teams use when they assess retail property.

01
Compare a centre or retail park with its town centre and regional benchmarks each week, so you can tell an asset problem from a market one.

02
Map visitors by postcode and profile them by age, gender and purchasing power to show who the scheme actually serves.

03
See how long visitors stay and which tenants share them, to support remixing, anchor decisions and letting conversations.
Huq covers any address in the UK: high streets, shopping centres, retail parks, competitors' stores and sites you haven't opened yet. No counters, sensors or cameras needed.
Huq manually validates more than 1,000 locations in each of its 35 markets twice a year, and data refreshes weekly.

For ownership, lettings and sales comparables, UK teams typically use commercial property databases, agency research and public records such as HM Land Registry. For how a retail asset performs, meaning footfall, catchment, dwell and tenant overlap, you need visit data, which is what Huq provides.
No. Huq doesn't hold ownership, rents, lease terms or sales comparables. It measures how retail property is used: footfall, visiting vs passing traffic, catchment, demographics, dwell time and cross-visitation. Pair it with your property database to add performance evidence to a valuation or letting.
Several providers do, using counters, cameras or modelled data. Huq covers any UK address without hardware and benchmarks each location against regional and national trends in its monthly PDF reports. It publishes an 18.7% median error in Great Britain against landlord-reported footfall.
Yes. Draw a boundary around a single unit, a parade or a whole scheme on the Explore map and see its footfall, including visiting vs passing traffic. Huq covers any address in the UK, including competitors' assets and sites that haven't opened yet.
Weekly. You can read footfall by week, month or year with period-on-period change, export CSV or Excel files, receive monthly PDF location reports, or take data feeds as Parquet and CSV files into Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage buckets.
Send us the centres, retail parks or units you care about and Huq will run a free analysis of your sites using its footfall, catchment and visit data. It shows what performance evidence Huq can add to the comparables and ownership data you already use.
