Consumer behaviour data

United Kingdom
See how people actually behave at UK stores, centres and high streets: how often they visit, how long they stay and where else they go.

Up to 5 locations. No cost, no commitment.
We handle your details in line with UK GDPR.
Huq's consumer behaviour data shows what people do at physical places, not what they say in a survey or click online. For any UK store, shopping centre or high street, see visit frequency, dwell time, time of day, catchment and which other places the same people visit. Retailers, landlords, councils and investors use it to understand customers at a location and compare sites, with data refreshed weekly.

The overview tours the whole platform. For consumer behaviour, pay attention to the measures available for each drawn area: visit frequency, dwell time, dayparts and cross-visitation. They're the same for every location, which is what lets you compare a flagship with a high street store, or your site with a competitor's, on like-for-like terms.

Consumer behaviour data is any evidence of how people choose, buy and use products and places. In the UK it usually comes from surveys and panels, loyalty and card records, website analytics, or location data showing where people go.
Huq covers the location side. It measures behaviour at physical places: visit frequency, dwell time, dayparts, residents vs visitors, catchment and cross-visitation. In the UK it also offers demographics and profiling (age, gender, purchasing power), plus geo-spend: spend by volume and category at any UK location, via Experian. It doesn't measure online browsing or attitudes; use survey or web data for those.
Because the measures are the same for every location, you can compare a flagship with a high street store, or your scheme with a competitor's, on like-for-like terms. Accuracy is published by country: an 18.7% MAPE in Great Britain against landlord-reported footfall.

The ONS publishes national spending and lifestyle statistics, and market research firms run surveys and panels. For behaviour at specific places, such as how often people visit, how long they stay and where else they go, you need location data like Huq's, which covers any UK address.
It's evidence of what people do offline rather than online or in surveys: which places they visit, when, for how long and how often. Huq measures this at physical locations, so you can compare stores, centres and high streets on the same measures.
Start with footfall, then look at visit frequency, dwell time, dayparts and the split between residents and visitors. Add catchment to see where people come from and cross-visitation to see where else they go. Huq provides each of these for any UK location in one platform.
