Retail site selection software
·
United Kingdom
One platform for finding gaps, checking candidate sites and reporting to the board: Explore map, White Space Analysis, Projects, exports and monthly reports.

Up to 5 locations. No cost, no commitment.
We handle your details in line with UK GDPR.
Huq is retail site selection software that puts footfall, catchment, competitor and geo-spend data for any UK address into one platform. Use the Explore map to check a unit yourself, White Space Analysis to look for towns where your brand is missing, and Projects to manage a shortlist. Then export the evidence to Excel or share monthly PDF reports with property and finance teams.

The overview is a general tour, and for a software buyer that is useful: it shows the interface your team would work in every day. Watch how layers are switched on in the Explore map and where White Space Analysis and Projects sit. Those are the parts of a site selection workflow your property team would use most, so judge how easy they look.

Retail site selection software brings the data a property team needs into one place: footfall, catchment, competitors, demographics and the retail centres around each site. Instead of commissioning a separate report for every unit, the team checks candidates themselves and saves consultancy time for the hardest decisions.
Many UK teams still piece this together from census-based models, landlord counts and agents' particulars. That works for a few sites a year. It doesn't scale to a rollout of dozens, and it can't show what has happened at a competitor's store in recent weeks.
Huq is built for commercial teams and analysts at the same time. Property managers use the Explore map and Projects. Analysts take CSV or Excel exports, or data feeds into Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage, into their own models. Huq has no API; feeds are how the data reaches technical teams.

Huq is a software platform. Your team uses the Explore map, White Space Analysis and Projects directly. Analysts can pull CSV or Excel exports, or receive Parquet and CSV data feeds into Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage. Huq does not offer an API.
Yes. Huq is designed to be straightforward enough for property and commercial teams, with the Explore map for quick checks and Projects for tracking sites, while analysts get the depth they need through exports and data feeds.
Huq data refreshes weekly, so site checks reflect recent trading rather than an annual model. Every location also gets a monthly PDF report with footfall, benchmarks, catchment, dayparts and dwell time.
Huq covers any address in the UK, including high streets, shopping centres, retail parks and sites not yet built, with no sensors needed. Its published accuracy is an 18.7% median error in Great Britain against landlord-reported footfall, and the full validation report is available to download.
Yes. Use the form to tell us which stores or candidate sites you want to look at, and Huq will run a free analysis of footfall and catchment for them. It's a quick way to test the data on locations you already know.
