FOOTFALL MONITORING

A sensor counts your door. We measure your market.

People counters tell you how many walked in. They can't tell you how many walked past, where those people came from, or which competitor they visited instead.

01

Answers in minutes, not months

A location study used to mean a brief, a consultancy and six weeks of waiting. Enter an address and get visit counts, trends and catchment on the spot.

02

Data that pays for itself

One avoided bad site covers the platform many times over. Retail and property teams use Huq to back the openings worth making and drop the ones that aren't, early enough to matter.

03

Decisions backed by evidence

A lease is a decade of commitment, too often made on a hunch. Test every assumption against real movement data before you sign, launch or present to the board.

Footfall counter questions, answered

The things people usually ask when weighing up Huq against a physical counter.

What is a footfall counter?
A footfall counter measures how many people enter or visit a location. Traditional counters use cameras, sensors or beams fitted to a doorway. Huq does the same job with data, so it works for any address with nothing to install.
How can you count footfall without hardware?
Huq measures visits using anonymous, privacy first mobile location signals from a large consumer panel. Those signals are processed and aggregated into counts for each location, updated daily.
Is it as accurate as a physical counter?
Physical counters only see the doorway they are fitted to, and accuracy depends on placement and maintenance. Huq measures every location the same way and validates counts against independent sources, which makes it dependable for comparing sites.
Can it count footfall at sites I do not own?
Yes. Because nothing is installed, you can count visits to competitor stores, potential new sites or a whole high street just as easily as your own locations.
How does the cost compare to hardware?
Hardware counters charge per device, plus installation and maintenance for every door. Huq is a single subscription that covers every location you want to measure, past and present.
