Measuring Covid-19 Economic Resilience in Towns and Cities | PWC

PWC and Demos use footfall data from Huq Industries to measure the cities that have been most resilient to the economic impacts of Covid-19, which you can download here. On page 12, Huq provides a daily measure of footfall across the City of Leicester since the start of the pandemic, and on page 14 a separate measure that describes mobility – ie. the extent to which residents are moving about.

With both local and central government investing in the safe re-opening of the high-street, and engaged in longer-term high-street and centre regeneration projects, Huq’s geolocation data offers fast and effective means to study footfall, visitor catchments and hotspots across UK towns, cities and council areas.
