That’s a Wrap! Huq’s Sponsorship of The Future of British High Streets Event

What a fascinating day. Huq had the privilege of sponsoring The Future of British High Streets event, expertly produced by Government Events. Despite delegates joining from their homes – spread across the country and beyond – the event had all the excitement and dynamism of the real thing.

Graham Galpin, member of the Expert Advisory Panel on High Streets, charismatically chaired the event and drove conversation ever forward. Chris Wade spoke eloquently of how footfall can be interpreted and applied in effecting change and new strategies across high-streets and centres.

A particular highlight came during the panel discussion with sharp and forthright comment between Mark Robinson, Chair, High Streets Task Force, Bill Grimsey, Author, The Grimsey Review and Helen Dickinson OBE, Chief Executive of the British Retail Consortium.

Huq’s own Ben Ward-Cochrane, Industry Lead – Local Government, described Community Vision, our measurement solution for economic development officers and town centre managers.

Our CEO, Conrad Poulson, gave an insightful talk using data derived from Community Vision to chart the top-10 rising and lagging centres in the twelve days since non-essential retail re-opened.

Thanks again to the Graham and the Government Events team. We’ll be looking forward to the next!
